Phewee! I've been trying to get information from the universities about my degree and PGCE. What an effort - ever heard the phrase 'getting blood from a stone'?
I called one university and was passed around various departments all of which claimed it was someone elses responsibility to help me. I encountered various attitudes ranging from polite and chatty to er, direct and minimal. I did eventually recieve a letter from my PGCE uni that they say is in place of a transcript - even though it only describes three of my four school placements and gives the impression I never finished the course - which, of course, I did! I have a funny feeling that the NZQA are not going to be overly happy with that particular piece of information...
Now, I'm attempting (seems to be a lot of that going on at the moment) to write my C.V. for New Zealand too. I'm struggling as I haven't written one for years and I am trying to tailor it for the Kiwi market. At the moment it is pretty sparse and I don't think any schools will employ me off the back of it. Better get back to it then.
